Membership
As a member, friend, or patron of the Kirchner Association Davos, you support the work of the museum and make a valuable contribution to the preservation, research, and presentation of the work of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner.
The Kirchner Association Davos was founded on January 9, 1982, and today includes some 600 members and institutions from Switzerland and abroad. Based on good faith cooperation with the Ernst Ludwig Kirchner Foundation Davos, the Kirchner Association promotes continuous further development of the institution. The Association supports the museum’s work, concentrating its funding on areas visible to the public, such as collecting, preserving, researching, and presenting. There are not only fundamental and historical arguments for setting such clear tasks, but also explicit strategic and practical ones: a supporting association needs as many members as possible for its support aim. It attracts new members by making its achievements visible to the public. Members of the Kirchner Association Davos see and witness what they have made possible through their financial commitment to the museum.
Der Kirchner Association Davos concentrates its funding mainly on the
- acquisition of artworks for the collection;
- maintaining the collection through conservation, restoration, or reframing;
- promoting museum education through educational activities or publications;
- funding lecture events on Ernst Ludwig Kirchner;
- funding research through publications produced in connection with the collection;
- supporting publications accompanying exhibitions.
Members
You enjoy free admission to the Kirchner Museum Davos all year round and are invited to exhibition openings and previews. You will also be informed about the activities of the Kirchner Association and receive the museum's current program.
